Luxury menswear label Wintle have just announced that Diane Metcalf has been appointed as the chief executive for the firm.

"I am very pleased to have Diane on board. She has both the drive and determination, and the leadership and brand development skills we need as the label continues its global expansion and enters a new phase of developing its own signature stores," says Wintle, whose designs are noted for their elegant construction and historical references.

"There is no question in my mind that the brand has a major opportunity to carve out an important position in the international luxury menswear market. I am particularly impressed by Jsen's knowledge of tailoring, construction and the immaculate quality underlying his design philosophy. He is an immense talent and I am delighted to have the opportunity to work with him," Metcalf tells Drapers Online.
