Make Up Tips
These make up tips are from some of the leading make up artists in the country. All of these make up tips can be used at home to help you create a stunning and different look every time you use make up.
- A foundation that is a shade or two darker than you usually use can be used on your face to hide or enhance your natural features. Use carefully in conjunction with blusher to slightly change your features.
- To slim your face and make it appear narrower apply the darker shade of foundation around your hairline and under your cheeks.
- To hide a wide nose, apply your usual foundation on the center of your nose, then run the darker foundation down the sides to enhance the shadowing.
- Blusher can be used to soften or enhance your natural features and can really give your face that healthy look.
- For a wide nose, apply blush along the sides to create the illusion of shadowing. Lets start with the nose. Conversely if you have a long, narrow nose experiment with blush down the centre of your nose to slightly flatten it.
- To make your eyes look bigger and younger, use a white eye pencil to apply a thin white line to the inner rims of your lashes resulting in a larger area of white within your eyes and creating a bigger look. Silver eyeshadow in the every corner will also 'open up' your eyes.
- You can use shadow and eye pencil to correct wide- or narrow-set eyes. For wide-set eyes, use a darker shadow around the inner corners and a lighter shadow at the outer corners. Then use a dark pencil to line just the inner half of your lashes. The opposite works well for narrow-set eyes.
- To get fuller lips, use a pencil to outline your upper lip in the same shade as your lips. Then apply your lip color as usual. Adding lip gloss to the centre of your lips helps to create a plumper look by having extra shine on the areas that would naturally attract more light.
