Many older models don't exercise or certainly don't exercise as much as they should. It's so important for a mature model to keep up with their model exercise program and although some days you may not feel like doing it, it is so important for not only your health, but for your modelling career as well.

As you grow older, an active lifestyle is so much more important than ever and exercise can even reverse some of the symptoms of ageing. It is not only good for your body, but it is also good for your mind, mood and memory and there are plenty of ways to get more active, improve your confidence and boost your general fitness levels.

Exercise is vital for ageing healthily and it will help you maintain your strength and agility and give your mental health a boost. It can even diminish chronic pain and whether you are generally healthy or coping with ongoing health problems or perhaps even a disability, healthy exercise tips for mature models will help you stay physically and mentally healthy and also improve your confidence.

Always check with your doctor before starting any new exercise programs and find out if any health conditions or medications you take, could make a direct impact on what exercise you should choose. Although you probably look wonderful for your age, your body is starting to slow down and you can't just launch into a strenuous model exercise program if you're not used to it. bigstock_young_mother_with_her_cute_lit_26342285_custom.jpg

Try to find an activity or exercise that you like and one which will motivate you to continue doing it. If you find something boring from the offset, then the chances are you will give up doing it and there are so many model exercises you could do, which would suit your lifestyle and suit your mood. Perhaps you may want to exercise in a group, like a sport or class, or perhaps you may prefer a more individual exercise like swimming?

If you're new to exercise, then just a few minutes a day will put you well on the way towards building a healthy habit. Start off slowly and build up muscles you may not have used for a while and slowly increase the time and intensity to avoid injury.

The most beneficial exercise you could probably do is walking. It's a wonderful way to do something gently and build up to something more strenuous quite easily. Exercising in your mature modelling years doesn't mean strenuous activity or time at the gym if you don't want it to be, and walking is one of the best ways to stay fit. Best of all, it doesn't require any equipment or experience and you can do it almost anywhere, particularly going from modelling jobs to modelling job.

Try to commit to an exercise schedule for at least three or four weeks so that it becomes a habit and force yourself to stick with it. Stay motivated by focusing on your short-term goals, such as improving your mood and energy levels and reducing your stress, rather than focusing on goals, such as weight loss, which can take longer to achieve.

As you age, regular exercise is more important than ever to your body and mind.
